Reformer Pilates in Ibiza · Clinical approach

This is not training. This is change.

Machine Pilates in the centre of Ibiza: Reformer with a clinical approach. Everyone starts with an individual assessment, and from there the work is adapted to them.

The method

The ACTIUM Method

Pilates here is not simply a class: it is a therapeutic tool and a way to move better. The Actium Method comes out of Physiumibz’s clinical experience and combines Reformer Pilates, therapeutic exercise and movement control.

What makes us different is the care for detail before you get on the machine. We want to know what is going on with you (questionnaire), we watch how you move and we recommend your group, so that you get the most out of it, with the most care and the most personalisation possible. Here nobody starts in a group without going through the assessment first.

How it starts

  1. The assessment

Just you and the instructor. We look at how you move, what hurts and what you want to achieve.

  2. Your plan

After the initial assessment class we agree with you on the level that suits you best and the days you want to come. It is not the same plan for everybody.

  3. Onto the machine

Groups of 6 at most, with an instructor supervising you. It is reviewed and adjusted as you progress.

The resistance

Every spring, a resistance and a CHALLENGE. Every colour, a level.

Without the spring there is no resistance. Without resistance there is no work. The reformer is not a machine: it is the part of the method that answers back.

What happens on your first day

A large share of the people who start here have never done Pilates. That is why the first day is not a class.

I am going to be the clumsy one.
There is no class on the first day. It is 55 minutes with an instructor, to look at how you move, what bothers you and what you want to achieve.
I have no idea how the machine works.
That assessment is where we decide how much load you start with and which group fits you. It is the place to ask how all of this works, rather than halfway through a class.
I pay for a pack and then find out I am not at the level.
You do not choose your level, and you do not have to buy anything to find it out. The assessment is 20 € and it comes before any pack. Your group comes out of it: beginners, starter, intermediate or advanced.

Comfortable, close-fitting clothes so we can see how you move.

No previous experience. No pressure. The hardest part is the first step.

We would rather have judgement than trends.

The reformer does not only work the muscles you can see. It works the ones that hold up everything else.

If you already train, run or lift, this does not replace any of it. What is usually missing is not load: it is control of the movement.

How we work during pregnancy

At Actium we adapt Reformer Pilates to each stage of pregnancy, taking into account physical condition, the changes that come with carrying a baby and what each woman needs.

We work in small groups, with qualified professionals and close follow-up, to support mobility, strength and wellbeing during pregnancy in a safe and personal way.

Before starting, we do a health questionnaire and an initial assessment to understand each case and adapt the exercises. Where necessary, we will ask for authorisation from the healthcare professional responsible for the pregnancy.

What it helps with

  • Keeping strength and mobility.
  • Adapting to the postural changes of pregnancy.
  • Working on body control, breathing and the pelvic floor.
  • Easing common musculoskeletal complaints.
  • Preparing physically for the birth and the recovery after it.

Our story

Who we are

Actium opened in May 2026 at Carrer de Canàries 24, in Ibiza town. It comes from Physiumibz, the physiotherapy clinic of Álvaro Miguel de la Rosa: after 17 years of mat Pilates inside the clinic and with no visibility, the project moved to a space of its own, visible and accessible, with six reformers.
